Give character to a project? Yes, you have understood me correctly. Setting up a business is not a cold and sterile process. Without human warmth you will never be able to compete for something beyond price. Give character to a projectFotolia photo rights In a world where the next competitor may be your 15-year-old neighbor who has plenty of time because he's better at computers than girls, you have to go above and beyond to be successful at what you do. The value of humanizing a project If I had to sum it up in one word, the best “trick” to sell more would be “trust”. Humanizing a project means that you achieve it by working on different aspects of it. Change the logo for a face : people want to communicate with people and not with logos. We must put the human part of the business in the foreground. At the end of the day we want to have the consumer email list feeling that we are communicating and dealing with nice people and not with anonymous voices or individuals with masks that give us the feeling that we are getting in the way every time a problem arises. Create empathy with the target audience : are you able to put yourself in the shoes of your client? If the answer is “no”, it is better that you have someone on hand than if they are capable of doing it. You have to know what your customers feel when they think of the product you offer. You need to know how to reach the heart of your target audience because emotions sell more than the sum of a product's features. Transmit values beyond the economic : what does your project represent? What do you want to earn dough, I already imagine that. All businesses have economic interests because obviously you have to live on something. If you are also able to convey a sense of everything you do plus money, you generate one more sales pitch for your potential customers. Please don't say you want to contribute to world peace because people aren't idiots either. Choose something more modest that is realistic within your means. Practical case Iron Blogger Spain by Víctor Campuzano At first it took me a while to get the idea that I wasn't going to be able to take on a project that makes me so excited like “Iron Blogger” directly. From the first moment, Víctor has adopted this project, turning it into his baby. It is doing things so well that it has even inspired me for this post.
